Your exercise is to move your body, let the heart pump a bit more, get out of breath briefly, for a short minute or less, then take your time to walk for a minute or 2, then do it again and again start with a 10-15 minute interval and embrace yourself when you complete it for a gesture and kindness for yourself. Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness will reduce stress and inflammation. Our coaching session begins with grounding and tapping into your innate peace within each one of us. It is easy and familiar. It allows you to quiet down and become familiar of who you truly are.
Mindfulness begin settling down your mind, ask your body to settle down. Sit comfortably on the floor or chair, or yoga mat. Drape your arms and wrist over your thighs, palms up or down.
You may also touch your thumbs below the tip of your first finger and hold it there, you may place your palms nested thumbs touching. Observe the coming and going of your breath that happens naturally. Observe and feel your pulse, the beating of your heart. Place your fingers at the center of your chest, your brain will focus on the body part you are touching, where your attention goes, energy flows there, breathe in through your nose, for a slow count of 4, mouth close to clean the air, disinfect the air, humidify the air, then breathe out slower for 4 count and repeat for 2-4 minutes. If you fall asleep, you need to rest. Stay with the rest. Be present, feel and sense the length of your spine, feel the weight of your hips against the Earth, be present, you hands may fall away, when it does, let it be. Focus on the spaces around you, the blackness behind your eyes, breathe, you are accessing the deepest quiet peaceful space in your body, You are energy, a point of light, you are wave/energy and matter/solid all at the same time, If you only knew how exquisite your body is and the power of your innate system of molecules, chemicals, enzymes, hormones, cells are you would love every minute of your breathe. Breathe therefore, and say I love, I live, I love, I live because I am Love and I Love my Life.

Narrative of the Blue Zones, My commentary and summary.
The Blue Zones study led by Dan Buettner, a National Geographic explorer, and his team discovered 5 regions of the world where people live the longest which they named Blue Zones. The purpose of the study was to discover commonalities that might explain why they are living longer healthier active lives reaching the age past 100 years, Centenarians.
The study revealed 9 principles common within these 5 regions. The hallmark or the common unique characteristics found in the Blue Zones areas where they are reaching a long life span dis-ease free and without any impediments of loss of cognition or movement, void of taking any form of medication are believed to be the hallmark of living a health span of 100 years. I will highlight the characteristics I thought are important today in our current health crisis in the West.
I want to strongly highlight that these Centenarians have a sense of purpose, a set of principles unique to their culture, though the diet is based on what is available in their region so each region do not follow the same foods they eat daily. Their food vary slightly but all eat mostly plant-based diet and what they eat is not purchased in the grocery stores because these regions are remote and travel to the city is not easily accessible for them. They are not rich in terms of income and the food is grown locally in which the food do experience some adversity, in the recent research Dr. David Sinclair said that the plants will experience some drought, less sunshine or less wind. These plants have to work harder, grow roots deeper into the soil to find water and nourishment, which makes the plant have more polyphenols and other nutrients because they have to work harder to survive. So the local people benefit and gain their strength from them. They are active people. Moving is a natural part of the day. They walk everywhere and some have no chairs to speak of like we do in America. They contribute to their own economy. After a days’ work, they go home but they do not sit and microwave their food and to sit again and watch TV or tend to their iPhones or Android phones to get caught up with their news, email, text, Facebook and other social media venues, all whilst eating dinner. They walk, tend to their garden, squat, work, sew clothes, visit friends, socialize, sing and dance and visit the elderly, eat and cook together and celebrate together. The elderly are not tucked away in a nursing home and detached from normal living and the lives of their children. Sleep and rest is important to them. A spiritual or religious practice is common to all the regions.
They partipate in gardening and planting food, sewing, harvesting of honey, tending to their own vineyard, some tend to their animals to sell, and feed their community with their meat, milk, and dairy products. Drinking of alcohol is not common to all regions but if they do they drink in moderation. One thing is for sure, each region carry with them their sense of contribution and know their purpose in life. They belong to a group, their community and are actively volunteering as their contribution and purpose to live. I also want to mention which I thought was so intriguing that the higher the altitude of the region, the longer they are living because they come down from the mountains from where their houses are to the town and climb back up to their homes and then climb up more steps to their 3-4 level homes.
