SUMMARY OF THE BOOK INTRODUCTION
This book was the culmination of my desire to live a long, healthy life span and a long life span of a clear and bright mind, a toned body full of vitality, which is the same feeling of clarity I experience after my morning Transcendental Meditation practice. I remember very vividly when I was 7 years old; a relative told me that I would also have diabetes. I looked up and I responded, “No, I don’t think so, and what is diabetes anyway?” I grew up in a household where my mother was taking care of a very sick great aunt. She passed away, not knowing what her sickness or which disease she suffered all these many years, except that she was very old. I said goodbye to my Mother and my siblings in my teens. I immigrated to America with my father, alone. Then my Mother and my other siblings followed us after 5 years. They lived in Brooklyn, then Queens, and then on Long Island. Many years later, my mother got very sick and was diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes is a very slow process before symptoms show up. She paid no attention to her health, even in the many years with the disease. I am now trying to understand where she was in her state of mind at her age (my father passed away many years previously). She has likely felt the agonizing pain of helplessness, the desperation, and the frustration of knowing. She can no longer change her fate. Indeed, I learned the discipline of hard work from my mother, and I am grateful for that. I may not have given her more attention and expressed my gratitude in a way that I could have. She had spent 6 months helping me when my daughter Ariana was born. At the time, she was losing her hearing and may have developed cataracts then, too. Oh, how I wish I were more loving and expressed my appreciation for her love for me and all her children. She also helped raise every grandchild during their infancy years, all 17 of them. She was always working in the Philippines, where I grew up. I know she was not paying attention to her symptoms, and most probably ignored them, and she was not aware. She had no idea or clue, she was unaware, or maybe even ignored the signs of disease or pain.

Summary of Chapter 1: Why Are You Reading This Book?
In Chapter 1, the author speaks directly to the reader with compassion and truth: “It’s not your fault.” The confusion around health, nutrition, and chronic disease is not personal failure—it's the result of decades of delayed research, misdirection, and misinformation from powerful industries and outdated systems. This chapter lays out the truth: that science has known much more than we’ve been told, and that we are now standing at a turning point where we can take back our health, awareness, and sovereignty.
The author explores how new science—from genetics to wearable technology—is uncovering ways to reverse aging, activate our longevity genes, and reconnect with our bodies in deeply healing ways. But the real power lies not just in technology or diet trends—it’s in reclaiming personal responsibility, intuition, and awareness.
She exposes the manipulation of food systems, the rise of ultra-processed products, and the decades-long confusion surrounding fat, sugar, and chronic illness. But rather than blame, she encourages empowerment: look deeper, do your own research, and listen to your own body.
This chapter also challenges the modern culture of distraction—from mindless eating to digital overstimulation—and offers a heartfelt call to reconnect to our breath, our bodies, our Earth, and our divine guidance. It’s a passionate call to remember that how we do anything is how we do everything.
Finally, the author introduces the first daily health practices that she lives by: grounding in nature, sun exposure, meditation, mindful eating, and mineralized water. These are not fads—they are foundational tools to restore balance to the mind, body, and gut. This chapter is both a wake-up call and a gentle invitation to begin your own healing journey, no matter where you are starting from.
This chapter is a loving invitation to reconnect to your body's innate intelligence, your heart's sacred wisdom, and your soul's divine knowing. It is divided into three parts that build on each other — physical vitality, emotional-spiritual alignment, and social belonging.
These daily practices activate your body's natural healing, energy, and intelligence.
1. Practice intermittent fasting by eating fewer meals, choosing protein/fat over sugar for breakfast, and gradually extending your fasting window (ideally 14–16 hours). This activates autophagy, your body’s cellular recycling process that promotes energy and health renewal.
2. Move your body with short bursts of high-intensity exercise (20–30 seconds), followed by slow rest. Repeat 4–6 times, 3 days a week. Build stamina and start where you are.
3. Eat your last meal early—2–3 hours before bedtime, ideally at sunset. Prioritize deep sleep by reducing blue light and creating a calming sleep environment.
4. Eat a Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) diet to feed your gut microbiome, which produces your hormones and digests your nutrients. If you’re on a carnivore diet, adapt accordingly.
5. Eliminate trans fats (e.g., vegetable, canola, safflower, and corn oils). This alone will drastically improve your heart and cellular health.
6. Love your microbiome. Trillions of microbes help create your mood, immunity, and vitality. They are your oldest allies—sprayed into you from birth—and vastly outnumber your human cells.
7. Take contrast showers: Warm/hot followed by cold to activate brown fat, longevity genes, and your immune system. Be kind—intention is more powerful than perfection.
8. Honor your sleep. Use sleep masks, blackout curtains, and nourishing oils (olive or fish) for brain support. Sleep is sacred time for your brain to detox and rejuvenate.
9. Stay hydrated. Add minerals or electrolytes to your water. Bless it before drinking. Your body hears your love and intention.
10. Get morning sun. Your skin converts sunlight into vitamin D—free medicine for immunity, bones, and mood. Practice “earth immersion” by walking in nature barefoot.
11. Practice breathwork and mindfulness daily. Even 5–10 minutes can soothe your nervous system. Include affirmations, gratitude, and calming breath techniques like ujjayi or slow exhales.
Go beyond the physical body. Awaken the power of your loving heart.
12. Sit, breathe, and love. Use yoga, meditation, journaling, and time in nature to open your heart and connect to the sacred space of unconditional love.
13. Move like your ancestors. Walk daily in the sun. Bow forward, stretch your spine, and take a deep breath. Activate your body’s energy flow with intention.
14. Start and end your day with gratitude. The moments just before sleep and after waking are powerful portals. Affirm your health, abundance, and joy.
15. You are a self-healing system. Trust your body’s homeostasis. You don’t need to be “fixed” — just supported. Breathe, feel your divinity, and allow your body to restore its balance.
You’re not meant to do this alone. Social connection is healing.
16. Play, dance, laugh, and contribute. Join a community. Volunteer. Serve. Be part of something bigger than yourself. Joy is medicine.
17. Ask the big questions:
· Who am I?
· Why am I here now?
· What is my purpose?
· What am I meant to accomplish?
Live with Love, and Love as you Live.
· Transcendental Meditation changed my life. Through TM and spiritual practices rooted in Vedic tradition, I transcended suffering and accessed peace, joy, and clarity.
· The heart is intelligent. It has over 40,000 neurites, similar to the brain—and it often knows the truth before the mind does.
· You are a fractal of the Divine. Your breath, thoughts, and intentions create your body and life. You are not broken. You are sacred.

Title: Change Your Belief, Change Your Biology
Chapter 3 explores the powerful link between beliefs, emotions, and physical health, showing how our thoughts and subconscious programming can shape our biology. It builds on the mind-body connection by examining how neuroplasticity, epigenetics, and the subconscious mind contribute to healing and transformation. The chapter encourages readers to question outdated beliefs and embrace the idea that you are not your diagnosis—healing is possible when you change your inner narrative.
· Beliefs influence biology: Drawing from Bruce Lipton and Joe Dispenza, the chapter explains that our beliefs—especially subconscious ones—shape our gene expression and health outcomes.
· The placebo and nocebo effect: Just like a sugar pill can create healing (placebo), fear or negative expectations can cause illness (nocebo). This demonstrates how powerful the mind truly is.
· We live from the subconscious: 95% of our behaviors and reactions come from unconscious programming learned in early childhood. By becoming conscious of these patterns, we can begin to rewrite them.
· Stress and trauma create illness: Suppressed emotions and unresolved traumas are stored in the body and can cause inflammation, disease, or imbalance. Releasing them is a key part of healing.
· Reprogramming the mind is healing: Through meditation, visualization, affirmations, and intentional practices, we can rewire the brain and shift into a state of wellness and wholeness.
“The body doesn’t forget. Emotions get stored in the tissues, and if left unresolved, can manifest as chronic pain or illness.”
“When you believe that you are your diagnosis, you’ve accepted a limitation that may not be true.”
“You can tell the body a new story. And if you tell it enough, with feeling, the body begins to believe—and change.”
"I release old beliefs and step into my healing power. I am the author of my health, and my body responds with vitality and balance."
